This CRA Board Meeting was conducted utilizing Communications Media Technology. Some Staff members were present in the Commission Chambers while others were present via the Zoom application to respect the social distancing guidelines.

1. Mayor Bryant called the meeting to order at 7:11 pm.

MOTION: Mr. Jones moved, Ms. Cornwell seconded, and the motion carried 5-0 to
approve the January 9, 2023 CRA Board Agenda.

4. CONSENT AGENDA

b. Piggyback Contract DEP Waste Cleanup Services and Golder Associates USA, LLC
MOTION: Ms. Cornwell moved, Mr. Jones seconded, and the motion carried 5-0 to
approve the Consent Agenda as presented by staff.
5. SELECTION OF CRA CHAIR/ VICE-CHAIR
MOTION: Mr. Jones moved, Ms. Cornwell seconded, and the motion carried 5-0 to
elect Mr. Williams as CRA Chair.
MOTION: Mr. Jones moved, Mr. Williams seconded, and the motion carried 5-0 to
elect Mr. Smith as CRA Vice-Chair.
6. CRA DIRECTOR’S COMMENTS
Bob Gause, Gause & Associates, sent an update to the Board prior to the meeting, which was made part of the minutes, regarding Connor Park. The project should be wrapping up in March and will hopefully be fully completed in April. He would like to coordinate a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Board.
Mr. Williams questioned the reuse and stormwater project at 4th street and 7th avenue. Mr. Rayan responded that it is independent from the Connor Park project. Mr. Williams also asked how long until 4th street will be re-opened. They are hoping to have it re-opened next week.
Mr. Jones questioned the flooding concern near Connor Park. Mr. Gause said they investigated, and everything is working as it supposed to.
7. CRA PRESIDING OFFICER’S COMMENTS
Mayor Bryant reported that she is working on interviewing candidates for the CRA Director position.
8. CRA BOARD MEMEBERS’ COMMENTS
Mr. Jones mentioned the desire to discuss surplusing CRA properties. Mayor Bryant will try to bring something forward at the next CRA meeting.
